Full Moon Festival

During this Shinto festival visitors enjoy views of the bright harvest moon, said to be the most beautiful of the entire year. Atop Sorihashi half-circle bridge, haiku are read and courtly dances performed, creating a scene of Japanese aesthetic harmony like no other.
