The Kuchu Teien Observatory at Umeda Sky Building<\/a> is hands-down the most popular observation deck in Osaka. The impressive exterior and the feeling you get as you ride up to the tippy top of this 40-story building on the escalator is otherworldly!
\nAs you pass through the see-thru escalator tunnel, it\u2019s like your being transported onto a sci-fi movie set. And when you arrive on the observation deck, you\u2019re greeted with a 360\u00b0 open-air view where you can feel the wind while you take in the gorgeous scenery. Viewing the sunset from the observatory is guaranteed to take your breath away!
\nThe evening scenery changes every few seconds so plan your visit in the evening and you\u2019ll be able to see all the colors of dusk change into the night sky.

The closest train station\u2014Shitennoji-mae Yuhigaoka\u2014is definitely a mouthful and the name includes that golden sounding Yuhigaoka<\/em>, which means sunset hill.
\nYuhigaoka was once on the edge of the ocean and it was a place where people gathered to watch the sunset over the horizon. Fast-forward to the present and the ocean has receded far enough that you can no longer see it, but it is still a beautiful place to watch the sun cast its final rays over the city.
\nThe neighborhood is full of romantic charms like the many temples and stone walkways. It\u2019s a place of deep history where you can sink deep into time.
