\nAlthough Umeda is a full of action with people constantly coming and going, there are surprisingly quit a few benches where you can take a break. This article introduces some of the best spots to sit down\u2014perfect for couples looking to enjoy a leisurely date in Umeda!<\/p>\n

First, let me show you the Terrace Garden on the 9th floor of Grand Front Osaka<\/strong>\u2019s North Building. Hours: Unlisted Next, let\u2019s look at Lucua Osaka<\/strong>, part of Osaka Station City, considered an urban oasis in Osaka because of its abundant greenery.<\/p>\n It features several garden areas, including: The Kaze-no-hiroba Plaza on the 11th floor<\/strong> is near a movie theater and lots of restaurants, plus it\u2019s easy to get to from the station. However it can seem crowded at times. But if you head up to the Tenku-no-noen Farm on the 14th floor<\/strong>, which can only be reached by stairs, you\u2019ll find plenty of empty benches and tables with fewer people around.<\/p>\n There are signs posted cautioning about heatstroke in summer and the lack of restrooms and vending machines on the terrace, so be prepared before heading up. It\u2019s amazing how going up just a few more floors offers a completely different view\u2014definitely worth a visit if you have the energy!<\/p>\n Hours: 7:00 AM \u2013 6:00 PM Our next stop is Daimaru Umeda, located within Osaka Station City. And, while not a terrace per se, on the 16th floor of Daimaru Umeda<\/strong>, there is a gourmet floor called Ichiroku Gourmet<\/strong>, which has lots of benches and tables. This would be a good spot to sit down if you need a quiet place to use your laptop.<\/p>\n Hours: 10:00 AM \u2013 11:00 PM Hankyu Umeda Main Store is one of Osaka\u2019s biggest department stores and its especially popular for the special events they host. In one corner, there is a shrine to Inari Daimyojin\u2014it\u2019s a great place to get a blessing! <\/p>\n This shrine houses a spirit divided from the deity enshrined at Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto. When the department store underwent renovations in 2012, this section was reconstructed to allow the general public to visit the shrine and pay their respects.<\/p>\n Hours: 10:00 AM \u2013 6:00 PM And finally, there\u2019s one more spot I\u2019d like to share, a sightseeing spot that\u2019s a short distance from Umeda, near Yodoyabashi. <\/p>\n This brand-new spot opened in September 2024, on the 16th floor of Osaka Dojima Tower, home to Candeo Hotels Osaka The Tower. The terrace here is named WowUs, and it offers breathtaking, observation deck-level views\u2014and the best part? It’s completely free and open to everyone! <\/p>\n (Part of me doesn\u2019t want to share this yet undiscovered gem\u2026) <\/p>\n From the south side, you can enjoy sweeping views of Midosuji. And since it\u2019s open until 9 PM, you can even watch a beautiful sunset. <\/p>\n Plus because this is a sort of tourism information exchange hub, the terrace offers plenty of travel brochures so you can get ideas while you are here. \nTo get there, head outside from the 7th-floor exit and take the stairs up to the 9th floor. The area is relatively quiet, and nicely landscaped with green creating a calming atmosphere.
\nThere are benches placed throughout the garden, so you\u2019ll be able to find a spot you like. To the east, you can see the HEP Five Ferris Wheel, and to the west, there are views of the newly opened Umekita Park and Umeda Sky Building.
