Written \u5ddd\u5e8a, the name kawayuka<i> <\/i>derives from the words river and floor. This is the image you\u2019re going for\u2014a fabulous meal overlooking the natural scenery of a riverbed. Not to be confused with <i>kawadoko<\/i>, which is <em>also<\/em> written with the same characters, but differs in that\u00a0the dining tables are  built aloft platforms directly above a flowing river. Both <a href=\"https:\/\/isoyoshi.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Isoyoshi<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/sansou.otowa.ne.jp\/english\/\">Otowasansou Umeyashiki<\/a> are located along the hiking path leading up to <a href=\"https:\/\/maido-bob.osaka\/en\/spot\/minoh-falls\/\">Minoh Falls<\/a>. They both overlook the Minoh River as it flows gently over rocks with a lush green backdrop. Isoyoshi offers a full drink menu including locally brewed Minoh Beer, sake, non-alcoholic beer, and a number of softdrinks to choose from as well. The major attraction was a massive zoo located nearby which drew huge crowds. It is also an elegant choice for weddings and receptions. It has since closed, but the pictures on display give us an interesting glimpse into the region&#8217;s past (early 1900s).<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"anchor3\" style=\"color: #fa7166;\">\u25cfThe Meal<\/h2>\n<p>Meals at Minoh\u2019s kawayuka range from \u00a54,000\u2013\u00a57,400 and they are fabulous. Isoyoshi offers three sets to choose from\u2014a course meal featuring seafood and seasonal vegetables, the seafood course plus <em>hamo\u00a0<\/em>(daggertooth pike conger) hotpot, and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.japan.travel\/en\/guide\/wagyu-all-you-need-to-know\/\" rel=\"nofollow \">wagyu beef<\/a> sukiyaki course. The fish are known to inhabit very clean waterways so it reminds us of the pristine nature surrounding us as we eat. Here, grilled sweetfish is pictured with a sprout of ginger, dipping sauce and Japanese pickles. The music of the babbling brook flowing next to you as you relax on zabuton cushions will make you feel closer to nature. The restaurant staff quickly swapped my beer glass. It seems the hornet intrusion was nothing unusual for the restaurant staff. Unsurprisingly, the hornet was hooked, just like me and lingered a bit too long in the glass of Minoh Beer.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9975\" src=\"https:\/\/maido-storage.oss-cn-hongkong.aliyuncs.com\/maido\/uploads\/2021\/10\/minoh_kawayuka-img10.jpg\" alt=\"Japanese hornet in Minoh Beer\" width=\"540\" height=\"560\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After the meal, I continued leisurely up the gentle path to see the falls, which took about 20 minutes. And it was worth it.
