The main tower of Osaka Castle is one of Osaka’s most beloved symbols. Toyotomi Hideyoshi (1537-1598), one of Japan’s great unifiers made this his home castle. The tower you see today is actually the third castle to be built here, as the first two were destroyed in war and fires.

\nHistory buffs will enjoy the exhibits on display inside the castle museum, including armor and art. And there is an impressive view of the surroundings from the top floor.
