The area was once home to a massive amusement park (Luna Park) which was connected by aerial tramway to the original Tsutenkaku Tower<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Today, the streets are lined with old-fashioned coffee shops, small clothing stores, game arcades, and restaurants serving one of Osaka’s signature dishes\u2014 kushikatsu (fried skewers)!<\/p>\n

You’ll also see statues of the local celebrity deity Billiken (God of things as they ought to be).
