Here are some popular rice bowls for you to remember.
Oyako-don is simmered chicken and egg with onions, literally “parent-andchild.” Tanin-don or “stranger-bowl” uses beef or pork instead of chicken. Katsu-don is topped with tonkatsu which are deep fried pork cutlets and the same simmered egg topping. Ten-don is a tempura rice bowl. Chopsticks can be a bit of challenge with saucy rice bowls.
