Kushiage Ohsho Club

Shinsekai

Opened in 2016, this restaurant maintains some of the atmosphere of the shop's origin. For decades this storefront was a shogi (Japanese chess) club, originally founded in 1947. The restaurant name and interior give off hints of its connection to Japanese chess and you'll notice chess-shaped decorations when you visit.
Located in Janjan Yokocho, a narrow alley in the heart of Shinsekai, this kushiage restaurant offers everything you need for a proper kushikatsu experience. The menu has all the basics like kushikatsu, shrimp, onion, and pickled ginger. And they serve specialties like whale, monkfish, and blowfish. T
