Osaka Castle Park Plum Grove

The plum grove at Osaka Castle Park first opened in 1974 with the donation of over 880 plum trees from graduates of Kitano High School (located in Osaka's Yodogawa Ward). Today their are over 1200! The garden has over 100 varieties of plum that bloom between late January and early March. The sprawling garden features a maze of paths between the trees that blossom in shades of crimson, pink, and white. There are also a number of benches scattered throughout the garden where you can sit and relax with a cup of tea as you take in the beautiful aroma of fragrant plum flowers.
