Shinsekai

Shinsekai

Have fun exploring and eating in a uniquely retro part of Osaka. The more you know, the more you'll love it!

The area was once home to a massive amusement park (Luna Park) which was connected by aerial tramway to the original Tsutenkaku Tower.

Today, the streets are lined with old-fashioned coffee shops, small clothing stores, game arcades, and restaurants serving one of Osaka's signature dishes— kushikatsu (fried skewers)!

You'll also see statues of the local celebrity deity Billiken (God of things as they ought to be). Rub his feet for good luck!
