■Dig a little deeper

OMO hotels are graded 1, 3, 5, or 7 based on the level of service provided. And Osaka’s OMO is a 7!!!
That translates to excellent service and dining in the hotel. The hotel restaurant OMO Dining offers Osaka favorites like konamon, flour-based foods that come in all shapes and sizes like udon noodles and negiyaki(the green onion heavy savory pancakes). OMO Cafe & Bar will keep you well-lubricated with Osaka specialties like mixed juice and satisfy your sweet-cravings with takoyaki-shaped desserts. Even if you aren’t an overnight guest, you can still enjoy everything the hotel restaurants have to offer!

The OMO brand is very playful and views the entire city as part of their resort. Maps of Osaka plaster the walls in common areas and the hotel even runs tours of nearby destinations. Of course you can walk over to Shinsekai, a popular part of Osaka known for its amazing kushikatsu and Tsutenkaku Tower, just across the street from OMO7. Or you could join the hotel guides called “OMO rangers.”

Get to know “Big-hearted, brassy Osaka ” on a walk through the neighborhood and dig a little deeper with one of the OMO rangers. Tours a planned for the neighborhood include themes like kushikatsu(fried skewer) tasting, delicious dashi flavors, and a walk through Shinsekai with someone who really knows the neighborhood.

■Revitalizing Osaka’s bath culture

On the south side of the hotel, an expansive green space is opening too. Named Miya Green, it got its name from the address & train station Imamiya and the verdant color of the lawn. The garden area is open to non-hotel guests as well, so take a stroll on the lawn, relax on the deck terrace, or join one of the many fun events scheduled to take place.

On the far side of the garden there is also a new bathhouse that’s very stylish. Bathhouse Yuya features a sleek design that pays homage to Osaka’s once thriving public bathhouse culture. Steam pours out of an open window angled so that bathers can enjoy an unobstructed view of the sky while they soak.

Osaka has more bathhouses than anywhere else in Japan since overtaking Tokyo in 2017. The new bathhouse at OMO7 will breath a little more life into the bathing scene in Osaka and the white steam will be visible from the windows of the JR Loop Line.
