(Sweets) Sweet to eat, cute to look at—Pokémon snacks
Sweets are some of the most popular items they sell!
The Pokémon-themed tins are decorated with illustrations in all different styles. So it’s hard to decide which one to get. Not only do they look great on the outside, but they’re sophisticated on the inside too!
Pikachu’s assorted chocolates (1,350 yen inc. tax) contain 8 different flavors: vanilla, caramel, milk, sweet (malt puff), strawberry, cookies & cream, chestnut, and crisp gianduja.
There are also lots of delicious-looking baked goods as well, like the chocolate cookies with a cute Pikachu silhouette (1,350 yen inc. tax) and buttery rolled wafer cookies (1,512 yen inc. tax) ♡
After eating the snacks, you can use the tins for storing small items, so these are like two souvenirs in one!
(Pokémon card items) An amazing selection of deck cases and deck shields♪
The shop has a huge selection of Pokémon cards and Pokémon card supplies that are very popular among all ages of Pokémon fans.
In addition to the “EX Start Deck” (550 yen inc. tax), which has 60 cards mainly featuring different types of Pokémon, they also have “Starter Set Terastal Mew2 EX” and “Terastal, Loudbone EX” which are great for first-time players.
* There’s a limit on the “Starter Set Terastal Mewtwo EX” and “Terastal, Loudbone EX” s sets and you can purchase up to 2 per person.
* “EX Start Deck” sales are limited to up to 5 sets per person.
There are so many items for Pokémon cards too!
The deck case is packed with essential items for Pokémon players such as deck shields, play mats, collection folders, etc.
(Toys/Games) Monster Collection and Nanoblock Pokémon!
They also have an amazing assortment of Monster Collection and Pokétoruze! The Monster Collection is a series of figures that are perfect head-to-toe recreations of Pokémon (660–990 yen inc. tax). And when you set your monster in the Pockétoruze (1,980–2,750 yen inc. tax), you can make them jump out of the ball!
These are a hit with children because you can play and pretend to be a Pokémon trainer♪
The Pokémon series is made from tiny nanoblocks and it’s very popular with all ages (600–3,850 yen inc. tax).
The series includes lots of strong and cool Pokémon like Charizard, Kyogre, Mewtwo, Salamence, and Tyranitar.
Of course, you can also purchase “Pokémon Scarlet and Violet” and the expansion pack “Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero”!
(Figures) Fun to collect Pokémon figures!
The shop also offers a great selection of high-quality collectible figures!
Each series has a specific theme, so it might be hard to decide which one to start collecting.
Buying one item from a series is exciting because you get a surprise when you open your purchase and see which figure you got. But if you want to make sure to collect the whole series, you can also buy the entire collection at once. This way of shopping is fun too, because you you’re guaranteed to get every single one ♡
I found some cute figures right in front of the cash register! The mascot BIG (990 yen inc. tax) are Pokémon mascots who have forgotten their moves and so they’re caught with these open-mouthed expressions in surprise. The relaxed expressions of the Pokémon with their mouths agape are so adorable♪
(Commemorative Goods) Pokémon Center’s 25th Anniversary Pikachu Goods
Pokémon Center celebrated its 25th anniversary in April of 2023! So I want to show you some of the special commemorative goods I found. They all feature Pikachu and were the products that were on sale when the store first opened♪
There’s a super cute pouch with a Pikachu tail on the side (2,200 yen inc. tax) and a simple yet stylish tote bag (3,850 yen inc. tax). The bag is lined with Pikachu pattern fabric on the inside ♡
In addition, there are tons of other items hidden throughout the store that fans will love, like the 25th anniversary limited design pen case (2,200 yen inc. tax), this drawstring pouch (1,100 yen inc. tax), this cutting board (1,980 yen inc. tax), and this stainless steel tumbler (2,640 yen inc. tax).
Just looking at the old-school Pikachu makes me so happy ♡
Visit Pokémon Center during your birthday month and get a special surprise!
Pokémon Center also offers a “Happy Birthday” service! If you go to the Pokémon Center during your birthday month, you can get two special presents.
★Present 1: Get a Pokémon, either Pawmi or Charcadet!
If you go to the reception counter next to the cash register with your Nintendo Switch console (Nintendo Switch Lite console) and the “Pokémon Scarlet and Violet” software, you can get a serial code that will allow you to add either Pawmi or Charcadet!
★Present 2: Receive a “Birthday Bouquet Card”!
You can get a “Birthday Bouquet Card” with a picture of Pikachu and friends celebrating your birthday!
If you scan the 2D code on the back of the card, you can watch a special celebratory video, so be sure to visit the Pokémon Center during your birthday month♪
In order to receive your presents:
- Bring your Nintendo Switch main unit (Nintendo Switch Lite main unit).
- Your device must have the “Pokémon Scarlet” or “Pokémon Violet” software.
- Be able to show an official ID to prove your birthday, such as an insurance card, driver’s license, My Number Card, or passport,.
*Please note that you cannot use a My Number “notification card” as proof of your birthday.
Post-shopping fun—Capsule toys and Pokémon card games!
My shopping to the Pokémon Center was a success♪ And just when I was trying to go home, I got caught at the Pokémon capsule toy, medal leaf, and Pokémon card station near the exit.
The “Kaze ni mo makezu” Pokémon Figures (400 yen inc. tax) are adorably cute Pokémon posed as thought they are withstanding strong winds. And you can attach the little “Pokémon Mejirushi Accessories” to your belongings like pens, plastic bottles, umbrellas, etc. to make it more easy to identify your belongings (300 yen inc. tax). And the other capsule toys will tickle the hearts of fans everywhere.
I got the Snom version of the mejirushi accessories. I like how discreet and casually cute it is, even when attached to a pencil case or bag. It stands out just the right amount♡
There is also a permanent “Pokémon Card Station” where you can easily take part in a Pokémon card game.
While the free space is open, anyone can enjoy competing and opening packs. That’s right! There’s no need to wait until you get home. It’s so nice to be able to open the game immediately after purchasing it and play!
Pokémon card game classes and competitive events are held regularly, so check out the Pokémon Card Game Trainers website (Japanese language only)!
