Tenjin Festival
大阪天満宮
One of Japan's top three festivals. This Shinto festival features lively land and river processions, all accompanied by taiko drums. On the 25th, fireworks are set off in honor of the gods, and on the 23rd, the pre-festival begins as crowds of women carry
portable shrines through the streets in the incredibly popular "Gal Mikoshi" event.
