Tower of the Sun

This iconic sculpture was designed by avant-garde sculptor/painter Taro Okamoto (1911-1996) for the 1970 World Expo. The internal exhibit, "Tree of Life", was closed to the public after the expo, but reopened in 2018. The sculpture is easily viewed from the park entrance & other nearby vantage points. Reservations are required to enter the sculpture☺️
