Kanshinji (観心寺)

Kawachinagano

Located on the border of three prefectures: Osaka, Nara, and Wakayama, this ancient temple belongs to the Koya Shingon sect. It is affiliated with the famously loyal samurai Kusunoki Masashige (1294-1336) who died in battle. The temple has a number of valuable cultural properties including the main hall, which is a national treasure, and a six-armed Nyoirin Kannon statue, which is also a national treasure but is not usually on public display.
