Minoh Insect Museum (箕面昆虫館)

Minoh

giant stick insect at Minoh Insectarium, Osaka
This amazing insect museum contains countless species of insects native to Japan and beyond. Examine hundreds of specimens of praying mantises, bees, beetles, and more. The butterfly garden is absolutely breathtaking with hundreds of butterflies hovering overhead and landing on colorful flowers and huge towering trees.
This family-friendly museum is fun for the young and old. It is located almost halfway between Minoh Station and Minoh Falls. Keep in mind, there is no on-site parking so you will need to hike to the museum on the well-paved Taki-michi.
