Osaka Museum of Housing and Living

Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Arcade

This museum focuses on living in Osaka. Exhibits give visitors a glimpse of what life was like in the city during the Edo, Meiji, Taisho, and Showa periods. The most dramatic of the exhibits is the life-sized recreation of a fictional Osaka neighborhood from 1830–1844. Walk through the streets to get a realistic feel of what life was like in the old city. *The museum is undergoing rennovations until fall 2022. Please check the website before visiting to ensure they are open on the day of your visit.
