Mt. Makio Sefukuji Temple (槇尾山施福寺)

This Tendai sect Buddhist Temple is located on the lush Mt. Makio. The grounds are decorated with colorful autumn foliage and cheerful flowers in spring. In old times it was visited by those praying for safety on sea voyages, however in modern times it has evolved to be an auspicious place for those seeking good luck in life.

Take the Nankai bus bound for Makiosanguchi from Izumi-Chūō Station on the Semboku Rapid Railway, get off at Makio Chūgakkō-mae bus stop, transfer to the orange shuttle bus and get off at the final stop. From there it is a 30 min. walk.
